Shaver Bennett has spent most of his life alone in the woods of northern New Brunswick. So when he turns up unannounced at his niece Bonnie's city doorstep — twenty years since they last spoke, and with her wife, Liv, answering the door — nobody's sure how this is going to go. What follows is a funny, disarming, and genuinely moving story about the distance between people and how little it sometimes takes to close it.
