About the Event
The MidCoast Ballet presents the classic ballet comedy “Coppelia,” which tells the story of a beautiful life-like doll that is mistaken for a real girl. First performed in 1870 to the music of Leo Delibes and choreographed by Arthur Saint-Leon, this production is directed by Julie Fajardo who performed with Boston Ballet and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal and has taught for Boston Ballet, Walnut Hill, Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre and Jacob’s Pillow. Guest artists from the Portland Ballet will join local area dance students and teachers on stage. Tickets are $25/$15 age 18 and younger, via camdenoperahouse.com.
