About the Event
Micromassé is a trio of accomplished musicians offering a fresh new sound that is nostalgically analog, worldly and explosively modern. Combining the classic sound of the Hammond Organ with dynamic electric guitar and infectious drums; Micromassé strives to bring instrumental music to new frontiers while maintaining a positive groove and a fun vibe.
Micromassé has garnered superlative reviews to their recordings and concerts. They have shared the stage with Charlie Hunter, Bombino, Marco Benevento, Consider the Source, Dynamo, The Fogcutters, and Moon Hootch, among others!
Portland-based singer/songwriter Richardson has been performing and writing music in folk, indie and electronic styles. With influences such as Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Bjork and Feist, Richardson's songs have won her honors at the University of Maine, where she earned a BA in music. In 2012 she released a six-song EP called “Restless,” and she has performed with Maine bands including the Rustic Overtones and musician Kyle Gervais.
Presented by Camden Opera House MaineMadeMusic series and the Community Arts Fund.
