Be A Volunteer
The Camden Opera House takes pride in our many dedicated volunteers! We have 20 – 30 volunteers working to help the Opera House further its goals.
What Do Volunteers Do?
Volunteers sell tickets, usher patrons to their seats, and help with concession and merchandise sales during shows. Volunteers may also provide assistance in the administrative office, by hanging posters for upcoming events, and many other miscellaneous tasks. If you have special skills, let us know!
What Type Of Commitment Is Expected Of Volunteer Ushers?
· Ushers are expected to arrive 1.5 hours before showtime and are welcome to stay until the end of the show.
· Many other positions can be filled on a case by case basis, it’s all dependent on the amount of time you have.
Do volunteers see Opera House performances free of charge?
Each case varies, but yes, in general we offer free tickets to applicable shows for volunteer service.
